Biography:

Scorpio Lai is Managing Director of Signium Greater China. Prior to Signium Greater China, Scorpio had been working in the executive search practice of Tricor Group and formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers for over 16 years acting as Senior Principal Consultant serving a high variety of clients including leading Hong Kong and PRC listed companies, sizeable conglomerates, private enterprises, multinational companies and start-up organizations. 

Scorpio is well experienced in developing, managing and conducting executive search assignments from senior management  to C-Level executives in business sectors such as manufacturing, trading and distribution, property investment, development and management, financial services, retail, e-commerce and fast moving consumer goods. As an experienced HR practitioner, he also involves in consultancy assignments involving training and development, job evaluations, organization restructuring, manpower planning, compensation and benefits survey etc. 

With over 20 years of past experience in HR management, learning and development, and  executive search consulting for the Greater China and Asia Pacific regions, he has previously worked for leading companies such as 3M, Nu Skin, Horton International and Onpress International in senior management and consulting positions. He had been previously based in Beijing and Shanghai where he acquired in-depth knowledge of the PRC recruitment market as well as a good understanding of the HR and labour ordinance issues in the PRC. 

A Hong Kong born Chinese executive, Scorpio has completed tertiary education majoring in Health Care Science from School of Nursing, Hong Kong Government Hospitals, Human Resources Management from University of Southern Queensland, Australia and Master of Business from University of Newcastle, Australia. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese, as well as English.
