Biography:

A graduate of Cambridge and Warwick Universities (MBA), David began his career in operational roles in Marks & Spencer and marketing and commercial leadership roles at Boots the Chemists and Kingfisher. He launched and led the home shopping division for Hearst Magazines under global brands which included Cosmopolitan and Good Housekeeping. He joined TNS, the world leader in market research, global market information and business analysis as Group Marketing Director and Business Development Director and subsequently took on the role of Marketing Director at consumer champion Which? repositioning the brand to a younger audience and launching the ground-breaking digital business.

Within the Leisure sector, David held senior positions of Group Marketing Director for Nuffield Health, with responsibility for private health clubs and local authority managed sites and, Group Commercial Director at Crown Sports, leading the commercial activities across all operating divisions, including health clubs, golf clubs and the international publishing division.

After his successful corporate career, David launched and developed the Retail, Leisure and Media practice of one of the UK’s leading independent executive search consultancies. In 2004 he co-founded the executive search firm Snowdon Tate that joined Signium in 2011. David is an active member of the Signium Consumer Practice Group, the Professional Services Practice Group and a member of the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants, the industry governing body.

David leads searches in the Retail, Hospitality, Media and Leisure markets. He also heads up Signium's Professional & Membership Organisations practice. He has a wealth of international experience recruiting leadership positions around the world. In the UK he was elected to the executive boards of the Direct Marketing Association and Institute of Sales Promotion. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

David lives in Buckinghamshire, in a non-stop house with his wife, 4 children, a dog and 2 cats. He enjoys rugby, following current affairs, good food and wine, theatre, travel and supporting businesses and people to achieve their full potential.
