A&L Goodbody has appointed Laura Butler as Partner in the Asset Management & Investment Funds team. She has worked with the organisation for 8 years and spent 4 years at Matheson, prior to this.
Arkphire, the IT solutions and managed services company, has appointed Oliver Surdival as Head of Cloud Services. He previously founded CloudStrong, which was acquired by Arkphire last year.
Bank of Ireland has announced the appointment of Eileen Fitzpatrick as Non-Executive Director. She was Head of NewERA at the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) since November 2011.
BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland has announced the appointment of Robert Murphy as Director of Business Development & Capital Advisory. He joins from Cushman & Wakefield Ireland where he was Head of Debt & Structured Finance.
Chanelle Pharma has appointed two new Non-Executive Directors to its Board;
Gemma Lynch, is a former Director of Ulster Bank Corporate Banking; a former Non – Executive Director of TLC Group, and she also serves on the Board of British Studies Centre Group (UK and Ireland).
Eimear Moloney, previously worked as a Senior Fund Manager at Zurich Life Assurance Ireland plc.
CIPD has announced the appointment of Sharon Whitehead to its main Board. She is currently Chief HR Officer for Smurfit Kappa Group & was Global Vice President HR with Kerry Group prior to that.
Core, the marketing communications company, has appointed Liam Wielopolski as Executive Creative Director. He was previously Executive Creative Director of DDB South Africa and has worked with Saatchi & Saatchi and Young & Rubicam prior to this.
Datalex, the travel software company, has appointed Niall O’Sullivan as its new Chief Financial Officer. He was previously EMEA Finance Director at Google and has worked with Pearson & Vodafone prior to that.
Dell Technologies has announced the appointment of Mark Hopkins as its General Manager for the island of Ireland. He was previously Public Sector & Northern Ireland Director, Dell EMC Ireland.
Deloitte North South Europe has appointed Martin Reilly as Managing Partner Financial Advisory. He has been Head of Corporate Finance with Deloitte Ireland since 2014.
Ecocem Ireland Ltd has appointed Annemarie Harte as Managing Director of the Irish business. She was previously the CEO of Hardware Association Ireland (HAI) and has held a number of other senior roles, including Consultant with the Royal Life Saving Society, CEO of Rotary International and Manager of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber of Commerce.
Elkstone which provides investment services including wealth management, venture and real estate opportunities and alternative finance solutions has appointed John Hynes as Chief Financial Officer. Hynes was Group Finance Director of Hottinger investment managers prior to this.
Greencore has appointed Peter Haden as Chief Operating Officer. He joined Greencore in 2015 as Chief Development Officer and became Chief Executive Officer of the UK division last year. Haden previously worked with McKinsey Consultants for 14 years.
Hayes Solicitors has announced the appointment of two new partners;
Áine Coghill has been promoted to Partner in the Property department.
Katy Meade has been promoted to Partner in the Healthcare department.
IKEA has appointed Peter Jelkeby as Country Retail Manager – UK & Ireland. Jekelby previously worked at Swedish retailer Clas Ohlson where he held the roles of Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Director of Operations and most recently Acting CEO.
Intertrust which provides fund, capital markets and wealth services has appointed Patrick O’Brien as Global Head of Funds. O’Brien previously worked with Citi for 3 years as Head of Fund Services. Prior to this, he worked with JP Morgan and GAM Fund Services.
Irish Life Investment Managers has appointed Niall O’Leary as Head of Fixed Income. He was previously Managing Director and Global Head of Fixed Income at State Street for 8 years. Prior to this, he worked with Bank of Ireland Asset Managers.
John Paul Construction has announced a number of key appointments to its senior leadership team;
Liam Kenny has been appointed Deputy Managing Director. He is with the Company since 2004.
Niall O’Connor joins the Board of Directors as Construction Director.
Manor Farm has announced the appointment of Ado Carton as its new Chief Executive Officer. He has held a number of senior executive positions with Kerry Group, most recently as Managing Director, Grocery, Snacking & International.
Morgan Stanley has announced the appointment of Paul Price as Global Head of Distribution at its investment management unit, to head a Dublin investment arm. He joined Morgan Stanley in London in 2010 from Pioneer Investments, where he was Head of Institutional Business for four years.
Next-Gen Power, a renewable energy business, has appointed Eleanor McEvoy as Chief Executive Officer. McEvoy previously founded Budget Energy, a pre-paid energy provider in Northern Ireland. Prior to this, she founded and sold two other businesses, Phonecard Warehouse and Pembroke Distributors.
Pernod Ricard UK have appointed David Haworth as Managing Director. He has been with the company since 2002 most recently as Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Germany & Western Europe.
PineBridge Investments, a private global asset fund manager, has appointed Mick Sweeney as Chief Executive Officer – Ireland. He previously worked with Bank of Ireland most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Ireland Wealth Management as well as Interim CEO of the group's New Ireland Assurance unit.
Premier Lotteries Ireland (PLI), the operator of the National Lottery, announced the appointment of Andrew Algeo as Chief Executive Officer. He is part of the group advising the Department of Justice on its current transformation. He was previously adviser at Ryanair and Managing Director of Commercial & Risk at Paddy Power.
RSA has announced the promotion of Gavin Wilkinson who is currently Chief Financial Officer in Ireland to Chief Financial Officer UK & Ireland. Wilkinson has worked with RSA since 2010, and was with Deloitte for 6 years prior to this.
RSM has announced the appointment of Damien Murran as Partner. Murran was previously Director at EY for where he worked for 5 years. Prior to this, he worked with Grant Thornton for 7 years, most recently as Manager, Corporate Recovery & Reorganisation.
Stafford Lynch, who manage a portfolio of market leading FMCG / Foodservice / Pharmacy brands, have appointed Conor Whelan as Managing Director. He was previously Managing Director of Eason and also BWG Foods.
The Institute of Directors in Ireland has announced the appointment of Harry Lorton as President. He is Chairman of Bank of Ireland Mortgage Bank, of Independent Trustee Company Ltd and of Johnson & Perrott Motor Group.
The Irish Times has appointed Shay Garvey as a Non-Executive Director to its board. He is a founding Partner of Frontline Ventures.
Whatsapp has appointed Niamh Sweeney as Head of Public Policy EMEA. Sweeney was previously Head of Public Policy – Ireland for Facebook, where she has worked since 2015. She was previously Special Advisor to the Tanaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade.
William Fry has announced the following appointments;
Carol Eager has been appointed Partner in the Corporate/M&A Department. Eager has worked with the firm since 2007.
Rachel Fox has been appointed as Partner in the Tax Department. She has worked with the firm since 2009.
Declan Lavelle has been appointed as Partner in the Tax Department. He has been with the firm since 2015 and worked with Deloitte’s for 5 years, prior to this.
Conor Treacy has been appointed as a Partner in the Real Estate Department. He has worked with the firm since 2008.
Workplace Relations Commission has appointed Liam Kelly as Director General. Kelly was previously Chief Operations Officer at WRC for 3 years and was Head of the Industrial Relations Policy Unit for 3 years.
