Acorn Life has announced the appointment of Keith Butler as its new Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1st January 2020. He has been Sales Director with the firm for 11 years.
Ardmac, Cleanrooms and Data Centres, have appointed Alan Coakley as Chief Operations Officer; he has been with Ardamac for 6 years and was previously Managing Director. Prior to this, he spent 19 years working with PJ Hegarty & Sons, most recently as Associate Director for PJ Hegarty & Sons (UK) Ltd.
Bank of Ireland Group PLC has announced two senior appointments:
Michele Greene has been appointed to its Board with effect from December 5th. She was nominated to join the Board by the Minister for Finance under the terms of the Relationship Framework between the Minister and BOIG plc.
Myles O'Grady has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. He joined the group in June as Commercial Director Ireland. He was previously Group Director of Finance and investor relations with AIB between 2006 and 2018.
BBDO Dublin hasappointed David Drohan as Chief Financial Officer. He joins from NextRoll Inc (formerly AdRoll Group) where he has been Finance Director EMEA since 2016.
BlackBee Investments has appointed Sarah Dineen as Chief Risk & Compliance Officer. She has been with the company since 2018 and was previously Head of Compliance. She previously held senior roles with Barclay’s Bank Ireland plc, Allianz plc and Irish Life Investment Managers.
BMW Ireland has appointed Kevin Davidson as Managing Director. He has worked with the company since 1991, most recently as Retailer Development Director.
BP has appointed Irishman Bernard Looney as its Global Chief Executive. Looney has been with the company since 1991 and has held various senior roles.
British Irish Chamber of Commerce has announced two senior appointments:
Peter O’Shea has been appointed as its new President. He is currently Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs with ESB and has been involved with the Chamber since its inception.
Paul O’Connor takes over as its new Vice President. He is a Partner with PwC Ireland and was previously President of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
ByrneWallace has announced the appointment of a number of new partners:
Helen Gibbons (Litigation), Damian McShane (Financial Services) and Catherine Dowling (Life Sciences).
Calor Ireland has appointed Duncan Osborne as Chief Executive Officer. He has worked with the overall group for 10 years, most recently as Chief Executive Officer, Primagaz Scandinavia.
Coca-Cola HBC has appointed Miles Karemacher as General Manager Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Coillte has appointed Imelda Hurley as Chief Executive Officer. She previously worked with Origin Enterprises as Group Chief Financial Officer and prior to that as Group Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Sustainability for PCH International.
Core has announced the appointment of Naomi Staff as Managing Director – Research. Staff has been with the company for 5 years and previously worked with Millward Brown.
CRH has announced the appointment of Andrew Keating as Director of Group Finance. He previously worked with Bank of Ireland for over 12 years, most recently as Group Chief Financial Officer.
Datalex has appointed David Hargaden as Chairman. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Unity Technology Solutions and is currently Non-Executive Director at ding.com.
Deloitte Ireland has appointed Kevin Norton as Tax Partner. He previously worked with PwC for 6 years as Director Transfer Pricing.
Ding has appointed Fiona Mullan as its new Chief People Officer. She most recently worked with Facebook as VP International HR where she worked for 5 years. Prior to this, she worked with Microsoft for 9 years.
Dublin City University has appointed Professor Dáire Keogh as President Designate. He is currently Deputy President of DCU and a Professor of History. Prior to this, he was President of St Patrick’s College Drumcondra.
Enet, the fibre and wireless network company, has announced two appointments:
John Gilvarry has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer. He was previously Chief Technology Officer with Digicel for 8 years and worked with O2 Ireland for 3 years, prior to this.
Jon Florsheim has been appointed as its new Non-Executive Chairman. He currently serves as Chairman of GoMedia and was previously Consumer Managing Director with eir.
eShopWorld has announced 2 senior appointments:
David Manifold has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. He was previously Group Chief Financial Officer of OASIS Group and was Interim Chief Financial Officer at Bus Eireann. He previously spent 9 years in senior Finance and Commercial roles at Aer Lingus.
Conor O’Kane has been appointed Chief Information Officer. He previously worked for Travelport for 7 years, most recently as Head of Technology Travelport Hospitality & Digital.
EY has announced the appointment of David Martin as their Head of Debt Advisory. He joins from Deloitte where he was the Director in Debt Advisory, and worked with Bank of Ireland prior to that.
Fidelity Investments has appointed Al Riviezzo as General Manager, Ireland. He has been with the firm for over 20 years most recently as Senior Vice President, in Texas.
Gowan Group has appointed James Brooks as Managing Director of Opel in Ireland. He was previously Managing Director of Kia Motors, where he had worked for 14 years.
Hostelworld Group has announced the appointment of Jody Jordan as its new Chief Human Resources Officer. She joins from Kerry Group where she has worked since 2017, most recently as HR Director, Grocery & Snacking and as Reward Director, Europe & Russia prior to that. She previously worked with Kelloggs and Paddy Power Betfair.
HPE Ireland (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) has appointed Maeve Culloty as Managing Director. She has been with the company for 12 years, most recently as Director of Business Development and Marketing.
IBEC has appointed Pat McCann as President. He is founder and CEO of Dalata Hotel Group and previously CEO of Jurys Doyle Hotel Group plc.
Kingfisher, the international home improvement company has announced the appointment of Bernard Bot as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Leopardstown Racecourse has appointed Tim Husbands as Chief Executive Officer. He previously worked with Belfast City Council for 16 years before taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer of Titanic Belfast. He joins from Westport House and Hotel where he was Chief Executive Officer.

Troy Cox has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors. He was previously CEO and President of Foundation Medicine.
Sasha Khursheed Said has been appointed as Senior Vice-President of Revenue.
Mason Hayes & Curran has re-appointed Declan Black as Managing Partner for a third term. He joined the firm in 1990 and has been Managing Partner since 2013.
Maples Legal have announced a number of senior appointments:
Jonathan Green has been appointed Global Managing Partner. He joined the firm in 2003, and was appointed Partner in 2007.
Karen Killalea and Colm Rafferty have been appointed to the Global Management Team.
Mazars Ireland has announced the appointment of two new partners:
Ken Killoran has been appointed as a Tax Partner leading their Employment Tax and Global Mobility Services area. He has been with Mazars since 2008 and worked with PwC prior to that.
Padraig Daly has been appointed Corporate Tax Partner. He previously worked with Crowe Horwath International and Deloitte Ireland.
McCann Fitzgerald has announced the appointment of Catherine Deane as its first Chairperson with effect from 1st November. She has been a Partner since 1992.
Odgers Berndtson has appointed Mark O’Donnell as Managing Partner. He has worked with the company since 2017 and previously worked with Amrop for 6 years. Prior to this, he worked with Deloitte and EY.
PCH International has appointed Mike McNamara as Chairman. He was Chief Executive Officer for Flex for 13 years. Currently, he is a Member-Board of Directors of Slack and Workday.
Philip Lee has appointed John Given as a senior partner in its Mergers and Acquisitions team. He spent two decades with law firm A&L Goodbody, ending up as Head of M&A, before joining Elan as General Counsel. He subsequently co-founded and floated Malin Corporation, an investor in life sciences companies.
Quintain Ireland, Ireland’s third largest residential developer, has appointed Donal Kellegher as Development Director. He was previously, Director – Head of Development Land as Cushman & Wakefield Ireland. Prior to this, he worked with NAMA and Savills.
Rabobank has announced the appointment of Fiona Egan as Managing Director at Rabobank Dublin. She is currently Managing Director, Local Head of Global Corporate Clients – Ireland.
Ronan Daly Jermyn has appointed a new partner, Brian Hunt as Head of RDJ's Financial Services Regulatory practice. He joins from Zurich Insurance plc where he was Head of Regulatory Affairs & Head of Government and Industry Affairs.
SFA (Small Firms Association) has appointed Graham Byrne as Chairman. He is Managing Director at Private Equity firm, Cardinal Capital. Prior to this, he worked with Bibby Financial Services Ireland as its Chief Commercial Officer for Europe.
Shannon Group plc has announced the appointment of Mary Considine as its new Chief Executive Officer. She has been Acting Chief Executive of the Group since June of this year.
Smartzone has appointed Aidan O’Shea to its Board. He has worked with Voxpro for nearly 6 years and is currently Chief Executive Officer of Business Operations. Prior to this, he worked with Abtran for 8 years as Sales and Commercial Director.
TBWA Dublin has announced a number of senior appointments:
Yvonne Caplice has been promoted to Business Director. She has been with TBWA for 5 years, most recently as Account Director. Prior to joining the company, she was Client Services Director with Bloom Advertising.
Des Creedon has been promoted to Executive Creative Director. He has been with the company for 5 years and was previously Creative Director. Prior to this, he worked with QMP Publicis, DDFH & B and McConnell’s.
Mandy Leontakianakis has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer. She is relocating from South Africa where she has held CSO and departmental lead roles with TBWA\Integer, Havas and WPP.
Aleesha Tully has been promoted to Strategy Director. She has been with the company since 2017 and was previously Senior Strategist. Prior to this, she worked with In the Company of Huskies for 5 years.
Technicolor plc has appointed Richard Moat as Chief Executive Officer. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of Eir Ireland until 2018, and continues as Non-Executive Director. Prior to this, he worked with Orange for 10 years.
Tesco has appointed Irishman Ken Murphy as Global Chief Executive Officer. Murphy previously worked with Walgreens Boots Alliance as Chief Commercial Officer and President of Global Brands. Prior to this, he was Chief Operating Officer at Boots.
The Naughton Foundation, which is the private family foundation of the owners at Glen Dimplex, has appointed Michael Maher as a Director of its Shareholder Supervisory Board. He has been working at Glen Dimplex for 19 years, and is currently Mergers and Acquisitions Director.
TileStyle has announced the appointment of Gerry Butler as its new Managing Director. He moves from Airsynergy where he was acting as CEO.
Tour America, one of Ireland’s largest travel companies, has appointed Deirdre Maher as CEO. She joined the business as Finance Manager 14 years ago most recently acting as COO.
Unilever has appointed Emily Pittman as its Vice President & General Manager for Ireland. Pittman joined Unilever in 2017 and was previously Strategy & Revenue Management Director UK and Ireland.
