Valerie Schmitt

Valerie joined Signium in 2026. She supports executive leaders and teams at pivotal moments, helping them navigate change and succeed in complex organizational environments. Drawing on more than 25 years at senior corporate level, she brings first-hand experience of the challenges leaders face, together with a strong belief in people’s ability to grow, adapt and fulfil their potential.

Throughout her international career, Valerie has been at the heart of business and cultural transformation, working with individuals and teams to turn change into lasting progress. Curious about people and different perspectives, she combines strategic thinking with a pragmatic and collaborative approach, encouraging ownership while creating the space for people to develop and perform at their best. Most recently, she was Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer and VP HR EMEA at Aliaxis. Prior to this, she had an extensive career with global corporations such as ABB and Travelport.

Valerie holds an MBA from London Business School and Columbia University and is currently working towards the ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) accreditation. A native French speaker, she is bilingual in English, fluent in German, speaks Spanish and is currently learning Japanese.

Outside work, Valerie’s curiosity for different cultures feeds her passion for travel. She also enjoys hiking and has a particular interest in animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
